The house is situated in the Eure region close to Calvados in the Normandy region. This region is known for its sloping landscape, the Normandy colombage houses, the D-day beaches, the cider, the camembert and so on. It is a well-known region for the people of Paris who like to spend their weekends in this area.
The house is situated in the small village St Jean d’Asnières, on a 5-minute car distance of the cosy town of Cormeilles. Next to the house is the river La Calonne which continues its journey quietly.
In La Calonne you live upstairs where the following rooms can be found:
– The kitchen including a microwave and a dishwasher;
– The living with television (satellite dish) and dvd-player;
– Two bedrooms (one with a twin bed and one bunk bed);
– Beautiful bathroom with a shower and a toilet.
Downstairs you’ll find the biggest bedroom with a twin bed, a washbasin and a toilet. On this floor you’ll also find the washing machine and the garage.
In St Jean d’Asnières you can’t do your shopping because there are no shops. But the town of Cormeilles is very close where you can do your necessary shopping, but also the weekly market or the nice restaurants which we can recommend.
The surroundings is ideal for hikers and bikers because of the woods, orchards and of course the cider route.
